August Favorites

The Body Shop Body Butter in Lychee Blossom: When I was gifted this by a friend, I did not know The Body Shop carried this scent. I'm so used to their typical scents that I was not too sure what to expect. This smells heavenly! I'm not a big fan of floral scents other than rose, but I actually like this smell. It's more on the sweet side. This has to be one of my favorite scents from The Body Shop. Other than the scent, I'm a big fan of their body butters. They're extremely moisturizing and I love how they sink into the skin like butter. I tend to moisturize my whole body after I take a shower. I hate just sitting around waiting for the lotion to sink internally. I don't like the thick feeling and the stickiness when I wear my clothes. I never have to wait that long with the body butters. They just melt quickly.

Butter London Nail Polish in Muggins: This is my first Butter London nail polish I tried even though I own some (yes, I need to try these out). I love the color of this nail polish. It's in-between a purple and gray. I have to say the color is very unique. I have not seen anything like it. You can check out my swatch and review of this nail polish. Not only that, it applies smoothing and there's no streaking/bubbles. I wouldn't say it has the best lasting power but it's comparable to OPIs. It's pretty average/decent. Overall, it's worth it for the color!

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Pink Shock: I haven't reviewed this yet, but it will be coming up soon. I reviewed the other Lip Balm from the Electro Collection, Stroke A Rose. I love both in the sense it's hydrating and improves my dry lips. With that sad, I prefer Pink Shock because of the color. They're both pigmented and shows up well on my lips. I think Pink Shock is just a prettier pink color or at least on me.

Lorac Starry-Eyed Baked Eye Shadow Trio in Star Power: This is my second Starry-Eyed Baked Eye Shadow Trio. I already reviewed LoracStar and out of the two, I have to say I like Star Power better. It's more pigmented and noticeable on me. When it comes to eyeshadows and they're combined together, I tend to find it hard to just grab one color without touching the others. I love that it's really easy to grab the particular color. The only down-side is that they're all shimmery. Then again, I have never seen a baked shadow that isn't shimmery.

Benefit They're Real! Mascara: I received this sample product from my Sephora birthday gift this year. I usually don't like non-waterproof mascaras, because they don't hold my straight lashes. I'm pretty impressed with this mascara. It held up my lashes except the first time I wore it. It was extremely wet and that's probably why my lashes were weighed down. After the first usage, my lashes are curled and looks full.

August Finished Products
Ageless Derma Stem Cell and Peptide Anti-Wrinkle Cream: I received this product and was sadden to see that I went through this product quickly. It was hydrating if I used a decent amount of product. The best part of this cream is that it got rid of some of my fine lines. I've never seen anything remove my worry line in the middle of my brows. You can read my thorough review.

Would repurchase: Yes.

touch in Sol In the Skin Renovation BB Cream: I received this sample and had mixed feelings. It's mostly positive. The only negative is that it comes only in one color. Isn't that the case with most Asian BB Creams? I love how the consistency is on the medium to thick. It really helped with some concealment especially my freckles. I also love how long this product lasted on me. You can read my thorough review.

Would repurchase: Maybe.

touch in Sol Here for Your Lip & Eye Remover: This sample came in the same kit as the touch In Sol In the Skin Renovation BB Cream (the empty product above). I decided not to review this product, because I finished it in two usage. It didn't give me enough try to give an honest review. Even though I didn't review the product, you can see it from their website. From the short usage I had, it was pretty decent. With that said, I can't say it's better than other oil-type removers. I have to say they all work the same.

Would repurchase: Probably not.

The Body Shop Body Butter in Satsuma: A friend gifted me this product. I have to be honest I have so many body lotions/creams. I just put them in my closest and grab whatever I can find when I finish a product. This body butter is probably several years old. I noticed the smell was not particularly good. I think it's kind of old. Even though it smells not the best, the product was still usable. Yes, I still used it. :X Other then the smell, it was good! I love my body butters. They sink into my skin so well and hydrate it until I take a shower.

Would repurchase: I still have some in my closest.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Fresh Body Lotion: I received this product several years ago and since it's summer, I thought I would finally use it. It's really light and definitely hydrating for my summer skin. I doubt it'll hydrate me during the winter weather. The only thing I was not keen on was the scent. When it comes to perfumes, I'm really picky. There aren't that many perfume scents that my nose can take. Most are too strong for me and starts giving me a headache. This lotion didn't give me a headache but it wasn't pleasing to my nose. If you like the smell of Coco Mademoiselle, this will be a great lotion. Just a warning this is very watery.

Would repurchase: No.

Ion Volumizing Conditioner: I got this free from Sally Beauty. Is it just me but I use more conditioners than shampoos? I notice I'll finish my conditioner and still have a decent amount of shampoo left. For that reason, I wanted to try this. For one thing, there is no scent. I love the scents of shampoos and conditioners. It makes me want to repurchase the product because of the scent. When I use this product, it didn't make me happy. There was no sensation, as well as, it wasn't the most hydrating conditioner I have ever tried. I probably had to say it's probably the worst. I would use a handful and still didn't feel any softness. It just felt dry.

Would repurchase: No!!!

Cutex Nail Polish Remover in Regular: Sometimes I like to try other products just to see how they are. This is one of those products. To be honest, I can't tell any difference from other nail polish remover. They all seem to work the same. There's nothing that works better or worst.

Would repurchase: Maybe.
